John Cleese and Monty Python came to mind as I witnessed this debacle. However Monty Python was scripted humour and the White House TV reality show was unscripted pandemonium (or was it). Whether or not this was planned,the outcome will likely expose the “corner men” in the upcoming jockeying for position.
What remains to be seen is who will be the referee(s). For those non-students of history you are going to see replays as if they are new episodes.

I had 3 highly concerning takeaways from the Oval office scene yesterday:
1) The President looked, sounded and acted more like a Mob Boss than any time before.
2) The President's statesmanlike self assessment was that it would "make great TV" ...
3) Putin will now officially be permitted to retain a significant chunk of Ukraine - then China will be immediately be emboldened to invade Taiwan - and finally America will one way or another seek to 'control' Canada so as to protect their strategic interests in North America. I can now realistically imagine an actual invasion by our neighbours to the South. It will be an imperialist trifecta.
That's as good a synopsis of where we are as we're likely to find anywhere Stewart. Canada is in Trump's "sphere of influence" Nato and Europe will not take our side against him in any material way. We need to prepare. That's the post I was working on yesterday morning. I was in meetings until 3. I turned on the car radio and nearly went in the ditch.
