This posting is an incredible tour de force Doug. I read it first thing as I always do - however, I shall be obliged to read it three more times to absorb half of what you have wisely said and/or inferred.
Never in my lifetime have the so called democratic norms been under such attack. Nothing is unthinkable, no new attack on the 'deep state' dismissed as a bridge too far. If our hope is now only with the Courts, we have even less hope than I thought. Many thanks for your analysis.
